The middle of Hurricane Sandy seems as good a time as any to let folks know that Recently Traditional Fictional Morris (RTFM) will be dancing the Other Morris on Hallowe'en at the Somerville Community Growing Center at sunset. We will be there, rain or shine! The Growing Center will be open at 5pm, and there will be pumpkin carols for about half an hour. RTFM will begin dancing at sunset at 5:39. Hope to see you Wednesday!
Pipe Dream, the morris team I'm on, will be performing on Saturday in Lincoln and Lexington. Red Herring Morris invited us to dance with them at Drumlin Farm in Lincoln and then in/near Lexington Center. We'll be out at Drumlin Farm at their Harvest Weekend (fee applies, free for Mass Audubon members) from about 1:00-2:15pm. Then we'll head to Lexington Center, and be at either Depot Square right in the Center if it's not raining too much, or at the gazebo in Hastings Park (about half a mile away on Mass Ave after it makes the left turn at the Minuteman Statue) if it's pouring (see map). This location is free! We'll be in Lexington from about 3:30-4:30pm. If you're in the area, come see us!
